Habanero Maple Peanutbutter Ribs



Ingredients (scale up depending on amount of ribs)

1 cup soy sauce
1 cup Ultra Dark Maple Syrup
1 heaping tbsp of peanut butter
1 tbsp of Jalapeno or Habanero Maple
1 cup of water (or Dr Pepper / Coca Cola)
1 half onion (optional)

Slow boil with lid on medium-low/low for about 1.5-2 hrs until ribs are tender but still hold together.

Remove ribs and continue to reduce sauce until thick (about half hour uncovered)

Last step is to BBQ ribs adding the reduced sauce during.

Approximately 10-15 minutes or until you have desired charring on outside of ribs. Keep rest of sauce for final presentation of ribs.

(Note: I split the recipe in two pots here because I wanted a spicy batch and a mild batch but this recipe is for 1 batch.)
